Good morning, just a quick update this morning.

The pub opened safely last night with all precautions in place to keep it Covid Secure thanks to the hard work of the staff team for which i am eternally grateful.

The other good news is that the staff and people who have been test due to contact with myself are all negative, giving indications that Sue and I picked up this virus from elsewhere, which is as we thought.

Thank you once again for your support both through messages and calls and also for your return to using the pub in a sensible way.

Please rest assured your safety is my sole concern during this period that is why i waited for Public Health England to give me the all clear to open.

Anyone who does not adhere to the procedures put in place at the pub will be asked to leave straight away for the safety of other customers and my staff team.

I will keep you updated as and when, and hopefully see you soon.

Take care and stay safe

Paul & Sue

I am pleased to say that after a lot of hard work and planning by my staff team and guidance from our Local Public and Environmental Health Teams that we have been passed safe and secure to reopen tomorrow at 3pm

We will be missing a few members of staff and a few customers but we will be open for you to enter a COVID safe environment.

We will be operating without our food offerings until next week when we are all back at work.

Please be assured that apart from Sue and myself we have had no other reports of any staff member or other customers showing any symptoms.

Hopefully see you after the weekend as both Sue and I are still in isolation and recovering from the effects of this horrible virus, thank you for all your messages of support over this last week they have meant the absolute world to us.

See You Soon & Stay Safe

Paul & Sue

Good morning hope you are all well. As promised an update on the next steps to getting the pub reopened safely for everyone.

I am waiting for Public Health England to come and assess the pub and The Hideout for safety measures to ensure that it is safe for us to open back up to the public. As far as i know of today none of the staff or any customers are showing any symptoms.

I think public health will be in the pub today so i will once again let you know of their guidelines for a safe reopening when i have them.

Cheers Paul 🤓

I would imagine that most of you have heard by now that Sue and I have today tested positive for COVID-19.

As you can imagine this has come as quite a shock to us all and to be honest i am gutted.

Whilst i am waiting for the official line on what to do from Public Health England i have taken the step to close the pub for the rest of today and tomorrow so that it can be deep cleaned.

Hopefully we will be able to reopen on Thursday lunchtime, depending on the advice from the powers that be.

I will obviously keep you updated immediately as the story unfolds.

Thanks for your messages and understanding and please stay safe.

Paul 🤓
